The Linda Lindas have released a new cover of “California Sun,” the classic song written by Henry Glover and first recorded by Joe Jones in 1960. The single is available digitally now and continues the Linda Linda’s ongoing engagement with punk history and influence. “California Sun” has a long lineage in rock and punk music. After its original release, the song gained renewed popularity through a 1963 cover by The Rivieras. DROPKICK MURPHYS & HAYWIRE ANNOUNCE ‘NEW ENGLAND FOREVER’

Boston punk veterans Dropkick Murphys have announced a new 12-inch vinyl split LP with fellow Boston band Haywire, titled New England Forever. The release follows the bands’ recent tours together and highlights a growing creative partnership between two groups rooted in the city’s punk and hardcore scenes. Each band contributed three original songs to the split, along with covers of one another’s material.
