Ameripolitan award-winning songstress Mozzy Dee joins the Swelltune Records family and celebrates with a brand-new single.
Congratulations are certainly in order for Miss Mozzy Dee! The New Mexico-based songstress has officially signed with Swelltune Records, and what better way to celebrate the occasion than by treating listeners to a brand-new single, appropriately titled “A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That.”
Crowned the 2024 Ameripolitan Rockabilly Female of the Year and a 2026 New Mexico Entertainment Award winner, Mozzy Dee is no stranger to making a little noise in the roots music world. Blending honky-tonk, western swing, rockabilly, rhythm and blues, and good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll, she has carved out a sound that pays its respects to the past without getting stuck living in it.
There’s a certain charm to artists who understand where their music comes from, and Mozzy Dee is one of those performers who reminds us why these sounds have stood the test of time. Her musical approach brings together the spirit of vintage American roots music with an unmistakable personality all her own.
My introduction to Mozzy Dee came in early 2023, when her album ORALE first made its way across my desk and into my ears. It didn’t take much convincing. From that first listen, I was hooked! There was something about her sound that immediately caught my attention, and I’ve been keeping an ear out for her ever since.
Now, with a new record deal under her belt, Mozzy Dee is turning another page in her musical career.
Her latest single, “A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That,” arrives as the first taste of this new partnership with Swelltune Records, and the title couldn’t be more fitting for an artist whose musical identity has always drawn from a colorful assortment of American roots traditions.
A new label, a new single, and another reason to keep your ears pointed in Mozzy Dee’s direction!
With Swelltune Records now joining the picture, the possibilities for what comes next are certainly worth watching. Whether this latest single is a preview of a larger collection of recordings or simply the beginning of a fresh run of music, one thing is certain: we’re looking forward to hearing more.
