The Sleights REMIND us ALL, ‘DONT WORRY! IT WILL ALL BE OVER SOON’

Colorado Springs punk rock quartet The Sleights have announced their forthcoming full-length album, Don’t Worry! It Will All Be Over Soon, scheduled for release on August 7 in partnership with Rad Girlfriend Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the album’s latest single, Wasted Time.”

Known for pairing rapid-fire punk energy with memorable melodic hooks, The Sleights continue to build on a reputation earned through relentless touring and a prolific recording schedule. The new album follows 2025’s This One’s Gonna Hurt and features 11 new songs that the band says represent its strongest songwriting and production to date.

Frontman Luke Blanton spent years working behind the scenes in the punk community, managing tours, selling merchandise, loading equipment, and filling countless roles for other bands before deciding to focus entirely on his own music.

That commitment has paid off. Over the past eighteen months, The Sleights have performed more than 75 shows across the western United States while independently recording two full-length albums, two EPs, and a split release. Operating from Colorado Springs has meant embracing long drives and demanding tour schedules, with many weekend runs beginning with nine- or ten-hour trips before the first performance.

While maintaining the band’s trademark blend of upbeat punk and infectious melodies, Don’t Worry! It Will All Be Over Soon also reflects a more personal and socially conscious direction. Much of the material was written during a period marked by the unexpected loss of a close friend, an experience that shaped the emotional weight found throughout the record.

The album also marks the band’s most politically outspoken work to date, addressing growing frustration, uncertainty, and the pressures facing everyday people. Blanton describes the record as a response to the sense of anxiety and exhaustion many have experienced in recent years while still delivering the energetic, singalong hooks that have become a hallmark of The Sleights’ sound.

Latest single Wasted Time carries an unusual history within the band’s catalog. Originally written for a separate project that never materialized, the song eventually found new life after being reworked by The Sleights. It also marks the first time the band has recorded a song using Drop D tuning, adding a heavier edge while maintaining its fast-paced punk foundation.

Upon its August release, Don’t Worry! It Will All Be Over Soon will be available on vinyl through the band’s Bandcamp page and official website. Additional tour dates supporting the record are expected to be announced in the coming months as The Sleights continue one of the busiest periods in the band’s history.
