Rob Dehlinger & His Alpha Rhythm Kings are getting ready to open the doors to the party with their new album, ‘Party Time‘. Arriving today, Friday, September 25. The 11-track collection dives deep into swing, jump blues, boogie, and blues, combining classic sounds with original material and the band’s own distinctive treatment of familiar songs.
‘Party Time‘ has been a long time coming, the band’s last full-length album, ‘Sharped Dressed Men’, was released June 14, 2020. Now dressed and ready, ‘Party Time‘ will be released and streaming on all streaming platforms. ‘Party Time‘ is built around the simple idea of keeping timeless music alive while making it feel fresh, immediate, and ready for the dance floor. Across 11 tracks, the Alpha Rhythm Kings mix five originals with a selection of songs given new arrangements and their own musical personality.
One of the album’s most notable transformations comes with Prince’s “Party Man,” which the band has turned into a roaring swing number. “La Vie En Rose” receives a similarly danceable makeover, giving the classic song a new life within the band’s swing-driven approach.
The album’s original material includes “The Copycats,” “Scatterbrain,” “The Evil of the Thriller,” and “That Classic Sound,” with the collection rounding out its 11-song running order with additional takes on songs including “All the Cats Join In,” “I Ain’t Drunk,” “’Twas Brillig,” and “Out of the Blue.”
Already available as a preview of the record, “The Evil of the Thriller” offers listeners an early taste of what’s coming when the complete album arrives. The track leads into a record that is clearly designed around movement, groove, and the joy of playing music rooted in the classic swing and blues traditions.
Party Time will be available Friday, September 25, across all major digital platforms. For listeners who prefer a physical copy, CDs will also be available at the band’s live performances, giving fans a chance to take the new collection home after catching the Alpha Rhythm Kings onstage.
With its combination of original compositions, reworked classics, swing, jump blues, boogie, and blues, Party Time is a celebration of the sounds Rob Dehlinger & His Alpha Rhythm Kings love — music built to keep people listening, dancing, and having a good time.
“PARTY TIME” BY ROB DEHLINGER & HIS ALPHA RHYTHM KINGS ARRIVES SEPTEMBER 25, 2026.
