THE LINDA LINDAS SIGN TO REPRISE/WARNER RECORDS & SHARE NEW SINGLE “BURNING OUT”

The Linda Lindas have released a new single titled “Burning Out,” marking their first new material since their 2024 album No Obligation and coinciding with the announcement of their signing to Reprise/Warner Records. The track arrives with an official music video directed by Nathan Castiel.

Burning Out” captures a transitional moment for the band, written during a period of personal and environmental change. Guitarist and vocalist Lucia de la Garza describes the song as existing between nostalgia and forward motion, shaped in part by a writing retreat in Palm Springs shortly after graduating high school. The track reflects on the sensation of time accelerating and the emotional distance between adolescence and adulthood.

Formed in Los Angeles, The Linda Lindas have built their identity through a blend of punk, garage rock, post-punk, power pop, and rock en español influences. Their rise has been marked by a combination of viral attention and steady development through live performance, including early shows in Chinatown venues and support slots for acts such as Bikini Kill, Green Day, Paramore, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Their 2024 album No Obligation expanded their sound into more experimental and stylistically varied territory, earning critical praise for its confidence and emotional clarity. “Burning Out” continues that trajectory while introducing a more reflective tone, balancing urgency with introspection.

The band’s signing to Reprise/Warner Records signals a new phase in their career as they continue to scale their reach while maintaining the collaborative songwriting approach that defines their work. All four members contribute to writing and vocals, reinforcing the group’s collective identity.

Alongside the single, The Linda Lindas will support Bleachers on a West Coast tour this fall and appear at Tom Morello’s Power To The People Festival. These upcoming performances place the band within a broader live circuit that spans indie, punk, and alternative rock audiences.

With “Burning Out,” The Linda Lindas document a moment of transition rather than conclusion—capturing the uncertainty of growth while maintaining the energy and directness that has defined their music since their earliest releases.
